Focus: The Great Shepherd

On my to supper tonight I was struck by the most amazing thoughts. It hit me how much God loves his sheep. You know, I cannot right now recall a single encounter that Jesus had with a lean sheep where he shamed him/her. He stood up for them, and though they had sinned he spoke such words and behaved in such a manner that they realised that 'God actually cares!' From Zaccheus, to the Samaritan woman by the well, to the prodigal son, to the leper who returned and others... He, in the true nature of the Great Shepherd, went out and sought the sheep until it was found.

He's so much better than our modern day shepherds.
